The Legian, The Beach House at The Legian
For those who romanticise about tying the knot
on the Island of the Gods, the uniquely contrasting
settings of The Legian Hotel, The Beach House
at The Legian and The Chedi Club, offer the intoxicating
possibility to turn the dream into a reality.
Bali’s stunning GHM properties hold the
essential ingredients for perfect weddings, intimate
gatherings, and meetings for up to twenty delegates;
offering exemplary personal service, elite facilities
and gourmet catering.
The bride and groom can choose to exchange their
vows in the environs of a blissful tropical garden
against a backdrop of the Indian Ocean, a romantic
beach house, or a spectacular inland location
encompassed by a panoramic vista of terraced rice
fields, lush coconut palms and the mighty volcano,
Gunung Agung.
The Legian is an exceptional all-suite boutique
hotel with a world class restaurant and deluxe
spa, bordered by a tranquil stretch of beach.
A wedding ceremony at The Legian will commence
at the top of the ‘Stair of Heaven’,
a flight of twenty-eight steps, flanked by white
parasols, graceful arching bamboo penjor, and
umbul umbul, the tapered Balinese flags. Sweet-scented
flower arrangements of white tubor rose and frangipani
will line every step and, at the sound of a Balinese
gong, the bride will be escorted down the stairs
followed by eight little Balinese girls in costumes
of gold, yellow and green. The ceremony will take
place to the accompaniment of traditional Rendik
music and will be followed by a shower of flower
petals, a poolside cocktail reception and photographs
in front of a legendary Balinese sunset. The couple
and their guests will then move to The Legian’s
North Garden, past flaming torches and fire bowls
to another Stair of Heaven where dinner tables
will be set out upon a candlelit lawn.
An alternative venue for weddings and exclusive
events is ‘The Beach House at The Legian’.
This delightful property rests within a totally
private walled garden fronting the sweeping beach
with magnificent views of Bali’s dramatic
coastline. Characterised by an open living and
dining area, a splendid bedroom with en-suite
marble bathroom, dreamy bathtub and teakwood balconies,
The Beach House blends harmoniously with the contemporary
style and quality of The Legian Hotel, while at
the same time maintaining its own identity. Maximising
ocean views, it also features a 16-metre infinity
edge pool together with timber decks and an open-sided
balé pavilion for relaxing.
There is a full service kitchen at the back of
the property where international chefs will prepare
Champagne brunches and other lavish feasts on
the occasions when The Beach House is hosting
private events. |
